We discussed cold brew coffee in previous posts. Cold-brew coffee means that coffee is extracted at a low temperature of about 0 to -4° C.
When using a low temperature it takes a long longer – 2 to 4 hours – to extract caffeine and the aromatic molecules in the coffee. This usually results in a sweeter and less acidic coffee which also brings out the complexities of coffee.
You can store the cold brew coffee for about 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator. You could keep it longer but the taste will deteriorate.
The Soulhand cold brew coffee maker is elegant and simple, and it works really well. The water chamber contains ice and water. The bottom of the glass water chamber has holes to allow water to run through to the stainless steel coffee filter and then into the glass carafe.

When you prepare pour-over coffee, you have to slowly and evenly pour the water down in a circular motion over the coffee grinds.
The long, narrow, curved neck and spout of a gooseneck kettle is specifically designed for pour-over coffee. The curved neck gives you much better pour control and accuracy compared with a normal kettle.
Soulhand says that their spout is more curved than other kettles and this allows for better water flow and control of the pour.
Soulhand’s gooseneck kettle comes with a built-in thermometer, so you know exactly when the water is at your desired temperature. The ideal temperature for brewing coffee is between 90°C and 96°C (195 and 205°F). Soulhand makes two types of gooseneck kettle but we show only the most popular here.
